Are you ever so into reading a book that you're shocked at what page you are on? You get so into the plot that you skip ahead a couple pages to see the outcome of something and then go back to really read it thoroughly? Do you ever sit at work or in a meeting or where ever, wishing you could be home reading your book?

Lamb was like that for me, recently. And a million other books before that.
Those moments are so wonderful, and pretty rare for me. As a writer, I ruin reading for myself. I look at craft and lose the idea of losing myself in the story.
The last book I loved so much that I lost several nights of sleep was Operating Instructions by Anne Lamott.
That's a great book! Her religious books are awesome too! It would be interesting to hear your perspective on them, Alex.
