Winter Vacation is almost over. Duluth students and staff are coming back to town, turning in early, and bracing themselves for the alarm clock in the morning. Yes, it was a good break. Yes, we relaxed, celebrated, and slept in. Now, it's back to Reality and, for the high schools, thirteen days until the end of the semester.
The evening of the last day is always a rough one for me. I have things I meant to do over break and things that I would still like to do. The choice: work on more school work or cherish the fleeting hours of vacation and save the work for tomorrow. I tend toward the cherishing, which is wimpy, I know. Maybe it's actually self-preservation? Wishful thinking.
I hope you have a good night.
