Hi

I'm awake at the crack of dawn so I can go to the Cities to learn how to read, or more specifically, so I can help my students read math books. I'm going to be surrounded by English-y people. Right-brainers, perhaps? I should probably grab my pocket protector. It's only a 6-hour seminar, so I should be able to withstand all the wordy pressure.

Movie of the Day: City of God. Watched it last night. Super intense. Not for kids. Very upsetting.

Reading math books?

what ever Becca, you are one English-y person too. You don't give yourself enough credit.

Yes, reading math books, Michelle! One of my classes is ALL story problems. ALL. I have to read the questions, translate them into "real" English, and then get to the math. It's tedious.

Thanks, Tracey. I blended right in.
