Shouldn't there be a way to scoop up all of the flood water and drop it on all of the forrest fires out West? I suppose there are contaminants, but there should be a way to clean it.
Shouldn't the people who have money to burn, feel like giving it to honest charities that would help even things out?
Shouldn't people be responsible about having children and knowing when they can reasonably take care of them verses when they can barely feed/spend time with the kids that they have?
Shouldn't our taxes go to help cure diseases and fight injustice rather than to killing people overseas and boosting the rich?
Movie of the Day: The Rainmaker. What a poignant movie.

Don't know about #1.
Warren Buffett gave 85% of his fortune to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. That takes care of #2 for now.
As for #3, one can be a devoted and loving spouse, be a caring and attentive parent, or have a lucrative and successful career. Pick 2.
#4 - Taxes are primarily a vehicle for encouraging or discouraging behavior, not necessarily for raising income. Hence the mortage interest tax deduction and the child tax credit. Buy a big house with a fat mortgage, then have a litter of kids, then work your *ss off trying to pay for it all while the little buggers sit home and play "Grand Theft Auto" on the Playstation.
Lex Ham Rand did not do much to lift the mood here at becca's today. Sorry.
Well, everybody is in a mood today! ;)
Yup. World isn't quite how it should be.
